This will determine who can update status using the Team Member Web application (see following image). The project manager can assign activity owners using the Owner column in the Activities page. The P6 administrator will need to create logins for people who will perform the role of activity ‘Owner’ and provide them with Team Member module access. Click on any of the images to enlarge them. Here’s a quick tour of the steps to setup and use the new Team Member Web application. As you’ll see from this article, Primavera P6 Team Member web application is a simple setup and a piece of cake to use. Add to this the existing iPhone App and E-mail status capabilities and you’ll find that you can run, but you can’t hide. Right out of the gate this would be a terrific tool to have in an Earned Value Management System (EVMS) for collecting status from Control Account Managers (CAMs). The potential for this tool is widespread and we are very excited to see how it will be received in the market place.
